HOLY FUCK!
I LOVE that book.
And that's funny, because Rascolnikov reminds me of one of my best friends. We've actually had some of the exact same conversations that Rascolnikov has had with Sonya.
And it's weird how many young males I've met that say they are a lot like him. I mean, well, okay, maybe it's not an overwhelming amount of males, but you're the third person I know of saying that. All young and male.
I personally couldn't stand Sonya (what a fricken' pussy!) but then, I'm a lot like her. I wonder if a lot of girls are... _________________ "This must be the place." |

But the whole point of that is how close said people are to the "One Truth". How with a little help from someone not quite as psycho the world can become a better place through struggle. Profiry was a prime example. He was amazing and he hinted that he also once was like Rascolnikov, but then something happened and he grew up. Whereas Svid was the other side, what could happen if Rascolnikov really did fail at life.
I don't know. I really like the character, and I think anyone intelligent enough try for a better world could relate him, especially if they were too-well acquainted with misery and human behavior. Sonya, too, I guess, but she pretty much just let everyone abuse her so I don't know. People like that piss me off. _________________ "This must be the place." |

Unrealistic, and taken out of every other conversion story ever written, but quaint all the same. | Quote: | | I really like the character. | Ah, my apologies, but I'm... not much of a fan of his. _________________

Figures the last post here would've been off topic. I realized just now that, strangely, I don't think I ever mentioned YoruSoi. Also, having developed a fondness for loli, L and Sayu. _________________ <center>
